I am excited about the
opportunities ahead
Welcome to the November 2026 issue of INTHEBLACK. This is my
first column as president and chair of CPA Australia. It is a great
honour and privilege to serve you.
Having served as deputy president for the past four years, I have
seen firsthand the dedication of our members, volunteers and
employees, and the important role CPA Australia plays in supporting
the profession. I look forward to working closely with our board,
management team and members as we continue to strengthen
the value of the CPA designation and ensure our organisation
remains a respected and influential voice for the profession.
I am pleased to be joined by two outstanding deputy presidents,
Louise Cox FCPA and Julie Crisp FCPA. Louise has served in the role
for the past three years, while Julie has been a director since 2024.
Together, they bring a wealth of experience, insight and commitment,
and I look forward to working alongside them as we help guide
CPA Australia into the future.
As president and chair, my focus will be on enhancing member
value, strengthening our community of members around the
world, supporting the next generation of finance and accounting
professionals, and protecting the reputation and standing of the
CPA designation in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing
environment.
I also want to acknowledge the significant contribution of our
immediate past president and chair, Dale Pinto FCPA. Over the
past three years, Dale has led the board with the highest ethical
standards, integrity and a deeply collaborative approach. On behalf
of our members, I thank him for his outstanding leadership, guidance
and unwavering commitment to CPA Australia.
I am excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward
to engaging with members across both Australia and our
global community.
