Career confidence is dwindling
A report from ADP Research shows just 24 per cent of global
workers believe they have the skills required to advance their
careers in the next three years. In South-East Asia, Vietnam has the
most confident workforce (29 per cent), followed by the Philippines
(26 per cent), Indonesia (26 per cent), Thailand (25 per cent) and
Singapore (23 per cent).
Despite ranking with the lowest confidence levels in the region,
more than 23 per cent of Singaporean workers feel that their
employers are investing in the skills required for career advancement.
This compares to the global average of 17 per cent.
