KEYS TO GEN Z
ENGAGEMENT
Employee engagement is a vital
element of high-performing work
cultures, but research from global
learning platform Kahoot! shows
almost half of Gen Z employees in
Singapore are emotionally disengaged
or neutral on engagement at work.
However, the research also
identifies opportunities to reverse
this, with 45 per cent of respondents
expressing a strong desire for more
structured and in-depth onboarding,
44 per cent valuing clearer
expectations and assessment criteria,
and 40 per cent wanting greater
access to mentors, coaches or peer
trainers. Gen Z employees also
identified clearer learning pathways
(27 per cent) and role-specific
training (27 per cent) as key areas
for improvement.

CLIMATE REPORTING INSIGHTS
Mandatory climate-related disclosures represent a learning curve
for all Australian organisations required to report under AASB S2.
The requirement is top of mind for Group 2 entities, whose first
reporting period begins on 1 July this year. But what is known
about early disclosure practice?
KPMG’s early findings from the first wave of 30 Australian Group 1
entities for the year ending 31 December 2025 shows a strong focus
on governance and the integration of climate risk management,
with 97 per cent of entities assigning oversight of climate-related
risks and opportunities to an audit or risk committee. More than half
link executive pay to climate considerations, and only 33 per cent
disclose Scope 3 emissions, which reflects ongoing complexity.
When it comes to assurance, 27 per cent have gone beyond minimum
requirements, mostly in the energy sector, and 88 per cent
of extended-assurance entities disclosed Scope 3 emissions.
