Welcome to the June 2025 issue of INTHEBLACK.
At CPA Australia, we remain steadfast in our dedication
to advocate for our members, the accounting profession
and the broader public interest. Our commitment drives
us to actively engage with governments, industry regulators
and standard setters to ensure that the voices of CPA members
are heard, and that we influence policy decisions that foster
sustainable economic growth and deliver positive business
and social outcomes.
In the past year, we have put forward over 100 public
submissions across a range of policy areas including audit
and assurance, business, digital transformation, economics,
ESG, ethics and professional standards, financial planning,
not-for-profit, superannuation and taxation.
CPA Australia also collaborates with other professional
accounting and industry bodies on joint submissions,
presenting a unified voice for the profession and advocating
collectively in the public interest.
We take our responsibility to advise governments and
regulators on critical matters, affecting both the profession
and the public, seriously. Our advocacy efforts are focused
on ensuring due diligence regarding the regulatory obligations
faced by accountants, who already navigate a complex
landscape of requirements.
CPA Australia is a trusted voice in accounting and finance.

priorities, and strive to achieve better outcomes for our members,
their clients and the communities we serve.
