THE ENGAGEMENT CHALLENGE
Keeping Gen Z workers engaged is critical to
developing the leaders of tomorrow, but a report
from learning platform Kahoot! shows 61 per cent of
leaders cite this generation as the hardest to engage.
The report indicates that engagement is a challenge
across the workforce. More than one in four leaders
have considered quitting their job in the last year due
to disengagement, and more than half have never
received extensive training on how to re-engage
teams. Close to 35 per cent of leaders report burnout
as a daily or weekly experience, primarily caused by
dealing with employee apathy and juggling too many
other priorities.
Leaders cite more recognition, learning
opportunities and communication as the three vital
engagement ingredients for both them and their
teams.
