AUSSIES HUNG UP
ON NEW PHONES
Upgrading to the latest mobile
phone can come with a high cost,
but how long do people usually keep
their phone before making a switch?
A report from Finder shows
20 per cent of Australians switch
over their devices every two years,
while a further 7 per cent do so
annually. More than two-thirds cite
performance issues as the main
reason for their last upgrade.
The research shows that
30 per cent buy a new phone
to replace one that is broken or
damaged, 15 per cent switch because
they feel their phone is too slow, and
12 per cent say their battery life is
too poor.
