CFOs are pivotal leaders in sustainability reporting across
Asia Pacific. A recent report from Deloitte shows around
a third of companies have finance chiefs as the accountable
executives for sustainability.
While CFOs have become instrumental in ensuring
assurance-ready sustainability reporting, they face
significant challenges, including compliance complexities
and the need to address key resource and capability gaps.
The report shows that 60 per cent of organisations
cannot forecast the number of people they need to meet
emerging sustainability workloads — and those that do
estimate that their needs will double.
