CPA AUSTRALIA
We have much
to look forward to
Welcome to the February issue of INTHEBLACK. I hope your
new year is off to a productive start following a joyful festive
season spent with family and friends.
This year is set to be a busy one for CPA Australia. We are
celebrating 70 years of our presence in Hong Kong, as well
as the 20th anniversary of opening an office in London to serve
our members in the UK and Europe.
CPA Australia is committed to providing value to our members,
with a focus this year on enhancing external engagement and
thought leadership in critical areas such as ethics, AI, ESG
and sustainability.
By embracing our ‘One CPA’ approach, we ensure that all
members have equal access to services and resources,
regardless of location. We also continue to evolve our
professional development offerings for the challenges posed
by a changing profession.
With the implementation of mandatory climate reporting
requirements for large companies, our three new micro-credentials
will help members prepare for the IFRS Sustainability Standards
disclosure requirements, covering how businesses can integrate
sustainability into their operations, as well as sustainability
reporting and disclosure.
We have much to look forward to as we continue to explore
growth opportunities including flexible pathways; promote
the value of the CPA designation; and advocate for members,
the accounting profession and the public interest.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward
to what this year has in store!
