Welcome to the February issue of INTHEBLACK.
As we head into 2022, the important work of creating the next
CPA Australia strategy begins in earnest. The new strategy will
follow on from the current, and very successful, CPA Australia
Strategy 2018-2022.
This is an opportunity to build on the momentum of the past
few years and provide a blueprint to take the organisation
forward to new successes.
Design of the new strategy will have a particular focus on the
future of the accounting profession, our global influence through
advocacy and education, and growth in existing and emerging
markets.
As with the current strategy, the new strategy will have
members at its heart. It will be co-designed in collaboration
with divisional councils, members and employees. Focus groups
and workshops for members and employees will commence
soon. Please look out for your invitation to participate in one
of these workshops.
Late last year, I joined CPA Australia CEO Andrew Hunter to
launch our new organisational values to employees. The values
were created in consultation with employees over many months.
Under the banner “The CPA Australia Way”, the values take
their cue from the letters of our name.
These values will drive our behaviours and be embedded
in all our practices and activities as we implement the new
organisational strategy. They describe the commitment we make
to each other and the commitment we make to members. You can
read more about “The CPA Australia Way” and each of the new
organisational values here.
I’m greatly looking forward to seeing the new CPA Australia
strategy come to life through close consultation with members.
We are committed to continuing to deliver enhanced member
value and satisfaction – and doing it The CPA Australia Way – on
behalf of our members, the profession and in the public interest.
